Our Brighter Futures Growth Team

Maria Hamilton
CEO and Founder
With a 30-year career spanning major organizations and tech startups, Maria turned a personal experience - supporting a bright, undiagnosed autistic family member - into a mission. Realising that many neurodivergent young adults failed to reach their potential towards independence and meaningful employment, through the lack of targeted support that really understood the challenges and potential. Determined to bridge that gap, Maria earned accreditations in autism, coaching, and supported employment on her journey within neurodiversity employability. For the past eight years, she has been at the forefront of championing neurodiversity in the workplace, supporting global training programs, and empowering recruitment organizations to hire and retain neurodivergent talent. In 2023, Acquisition International Magazine recognized her as "The Most Empowering Advocate for Neurodivergent Talent" in their Women of Influence series. Driven by her passion to further support young adults, Maria founded the social enterprise Neuroinclusive Works in late 2023.

Emma Walker
Senior Programme Manager
Emma Walker is a passionate advocate for neurodiversity, who supports neurodivergent individuals to explore their strengths, plan for the future, and feel confident in who they are. With a background in IT and HR—and over six years as Regional Director at auticon, an organisation that helps autistic adults thrive in tech careers—Emma brings deep experience in creating inclusive spaces where people can succeed by being themselves. Emma now focuses on person-centred planning and one-to-one coaching, working alongside individuals to identify what matters most to them and take steps toward their own goals—whether that’s education, work, independence, or building confidence. Her warm, supportive approach helps people feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward in a way that works for them. She also brings years of leadership and mentoring experience, and a strong belief in the power of neurodivergent thinking—not just in the workplace, but in all areas of life. Emma has seen first-hands some of the challenges neurodivergent people can face through supporting her own autistic son through university and into work, where he is thriving. At the heart of Emma’s work is the belief that everyone deserves the chance to shape their own future and she understands how important it is to create plans that are tailored to the individual, not a one-size-fits-all. Emma’s vision is rooted in the belief that the best plans start with listening, trust, and seeing the person first.
